Banyan Tree Bintan 2D1N trip!

We got lucky one fine weekend because S's friend had free accommodation deals in Banyan Tree Bintan and invited us (and a couple of other people) for a short stay!

We paid $64.20 for the return ferry tickets, about $25 bucks for lunch and dinner and that's about it! woot!! Apart from Banyan Tree and Angsana Resort which uses USD as their stipulated currency of payment, the rest of the island uses Sing dollars. And boy, things are definitely not cheap there.

But well, we didn't shop around town anyway. We basically slacked the day away doing spa and exploring the beach. :)

each trip takes about 45 minutes, and it looked like a huge aircraft actually. Comes with foldable tables similar to those on planes. Plus there's in-boat entertainment too. I watched MJ's MTVs and Mr bean cartoons. hahaha!

Upon reaching bintan, we ate in a reasonably-priced restaurant opposite the oleh-oleh market (i think). They even throw in free transport from the ferry terminal to their restaurant, then to the resort. :D remember to negotiate for that the next time you visit bintan!
